Arsh Gautam of Bihar achieves all India rank of 72 in JEE Advanced Examination

The results of JEE Advanced Examination were declared at 10 am today. Arsh Gautam has achieved an all India rank of 72 in JEE Advanced Examination. Hailing from a small village of Begusarai- Jagatpura, Gautam has been a brilliant student since his childhood days.

Arsh took his coaching from Narayana Institute, Dwarka. He was all-praise for Narayana Institute and his mentor, U P Singh, his mentor from Narayana Institute which had been taking care of his education since 9th standard onwards.

“The rigorous classes and test schedule from morning to evening and weekly two test one for JEE Main and another for JEE-Advance always kept me on toes and I was able to achieve success,” said beaming Arsh.

His father Amitabh Roy gave all the credit to Mr. U.P Singh, the Director at Narayana Group and its dedicated teachers.

“I am proud of my son. He used to study regularly 10-12 hours a day and followed his schedule meticulously,” said Amitabh Roy, who is a small- time contractor.

Organized by IIT Madras, the examination was held on 21 May 2017. Approximately 2.21 lakh candidates had registered and appeared for Joint Entrance Test (JEE) Advanced Examination. Candidates, who cleared the JEE Main or the first phase of the two-phase exams, were eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced.

The performance of a candidate in JEE Advanced forms the basis for admission to the bachelor’s, integrated Master’s and dual degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).

There are over 11,000 seats available in the 23 IITs across the country.
